A letter from the Quill team
Five things we'll never do with your work.
You're handing us your ideas, your voice, and your professional reputation. We know what that costs. Here is exactly what we do with it. More importantly, what we will never do.
Your writing never trains our models
ActiveWhen you share your background, upload a source document, or edit a draft, that data is processed to serve you and only you. The language models we use have enterprise terms that explicitly prohibit training on your content. Your words stay yours.
Your data is yours alone
ActiveEvery query to our database is scoped to your account at the database engine level, not just in our application code. Even if we had a bug, the database itself would prevent one person from seeing another’s work.
Everything is encrypted
ActiveAll connections use modern encryption in transit. Everything stored (your drafts, personas, and profile) is encrypted at rest. Row-level security means your data is only ever readable by you.
You can delete everything, anytime
ActiveOne click in Settings and your entire account is purged: profile, personas, drafts, packs, and every trace of your activity. When it’s gone, it’s gone. We don’t keep shadows.
No tracking in your content
ActiveWhen you copy a draft and publish it, it’s clean text. No tracking pixels, no hidden analytics, no UTM parameters. Nothing that phones home to us or anyone else.
We're building Quill because of the alternative. A generation of professionals whose public writing is indistinguishable from a chatbot's. That felt like a loss we didn't want to be part of.
Your voice is the whole point. Everything above is how we protect it.
If we ever fall short of any of these commitments, we'd rather hear it from you first. Write to us at hello@quill-writer.com.
